Working with Stark County Family Courts and located at the YWCA downtown Canton, Safe Have provides a safe, non-threatening atmosphere for children at the center of custody disputes to spend time with a parent that they would otherwise never get to see. Volunteers simply monitor a two hour visit between the child and parent, acting as an advocate for the child and recording notes that monitors appropriate interaction. We currently need volunteers for Thursday evening, Saturday morning, and Sunday evening. If you have a heart for children and families, there’s an easy process to be a part of this ministry.
